We have recently returned from our 6th cruise with ocean village, this one being on ocean village 2 this was spoilt by the sudden decision to stop the normal practice of selling bottles of spirits for room consumption This was done half way through our holiday without warning and left to the poor girl in the shop to explain to some very angry and upset people My husband wrote a letter and sent it to the hotel manager, but with not even an acknowledgment, which we thought was very rude We spoke to many people about this and got the same reaction as ours, it was like being treated with complete lack of respect, or like children

We purposely have a balcony cabin so that we can go back to our room and have some privacy and sit on our balcony with a drink or two, tramping back and forth to a distant bar is not exactly a relaxing time I also imagine there were many parents on board that put their children to bed early and would also like to have a drink in their cabin

We thought we would write this review, to bring to the attention of any passengers about to sail with ov2, as it clearly states in the information book and in the documents sent with the booking that this was part of the service provided, so therefore should not have been stopped in such a way
