Grand Princess from Beijing to Bangkok. On arrival at port we found the ship had been fumigated because of Norovirus, and 2,500+ people were waiting to board at the same time! Absolute chaos - Chinese authorities were holding things up, but Princess could have organised access to the embarkation suite better. We were left OUT IN THE COLD, with a tiny doorway blocking our entrance, and the crowd pushing and shoving to gain entry. SHAMBLES. Once on board, even though sailing was delayed by 12 hours, we arrived at our destinations on time. The ship was on RED alert for about 5 days, e.g. buffets were NOT self service, everything served to you. However, this did not spoil our enjoyment, the food was excellent, entertainment pretty good ( we've seen the production shows several times on various other cruises) and the ports of call were terrific.
