Celebrity Cruises, Summit, Mediterranean

We had a very good experience on the Summit ,which was our first Celebrity cruise.The staff were excellent and as usual all were very cheery and helpful.Unfortuneately the weather on the early part of the cruise was not great ,but that was more down to the dates .We had been on 4 previous cruises and whilst this line is classed as a 5 star it is not nearly as good overall as QM2. The food was good to very good ,enetertainment was very good to excellent. The ability to get peace and quiet was good and if you wanted it noisy and active that was easy as well.We would definately go back on a celebrity cruise and are looking at the panama canal next year. We were pleased with the variety of food avaibale during lunch and the room service menu was extensive and worth a try. If we had any adverse comments it was that we usually do 2nd sitting but this was 8.45 and we found it was around 9.15 before you got fed and in some instances missed the late shows. My gripe with all the cruises if the dress code issue.No problem with one but why do they never apply them .You make the effort and some of your table companions completely ignore it and are not pulled up about it.We also heard that Ceb cruise are going to make all cabins non -smoking from the end of this year --good news.
